Documentation

See exactly where your disk space went — by folder, by file type, by age and by content duplication.

DiskGOup shows you where your disk space went and gives you a staged, reviewed cleanup flow instead of a one-click “delete my stuff”.

The CLI is the product. The Electron desktop app is a thin front-end that drives the CLI as a child process — if the GUI were deleted tomorrow, nothing would be lost.

Installation

Install the CLI with uv, build the standalone binary with PyInstaller, or grab a desktop build. Install →

Quick start

Your first scan, your first treemap, your first duplicate search — in five commands. Quick start →

Cleaning up safely

The staged review flow: stage, review, validate, confirm, revalidate, recycle bin. Read the guide →

CLI reference

Every command, every flag, and what it prints — including the --json contract the desktop app depends on. CLI reference →

Protection rules

What the system refuses to delete, and why — system roots, platform attributes, game data and critical containers. Protection rules →

Architecture

How the CLI, the SQLite index, the JSON-RPC bridge and the Electron front-end fit together. Architecture →

Downloads

A standalone CLI binary and the desktop app, for macOS, Linux and Windows — built by the project’s own CI. Download →

One scan powers every view: the walk is written into a persistent SQLite index, and the tree, the treemap, the search, the duplicate finder and the reports all read that same result set instead of touching the disk again.

Nothing is ever deleted straight away:

stage → review → validate → confirm → revalidate → recycle bin
